
What is Voice Dialogue
Have you had the experiences of finding yourself in an inner debate, questioning decisions or facing conflicting desires?
We all have various inner "Voices" (also known as "Selves" or "Parts") that shape our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Each Self has its own way of viewing the world, its own beliefs and rules, and its own specific history. And each directs you towards what it sees as the best outcome.
Often these inner conversations are of no great consequence. At other times, however, a Part may keep you operating in ways that no longer serve you. A Part may be conjuring fear in order to avoid a potentially uncomfortable situation, or it may drive relentless perfectionism to pre-empt critique or the possibility of failure.
Developed by psychologists Hal Stone, PhD & Sidra Stone, PhD, Voice Dialogue is used by coaches, therapists and other practitioners to support their clients around the world.

The Experience
In Voice Dialogue sessions, with your permission, the facilitator converses directly with a Part. This gives the Part the opportunity express itself freely and honestly. It's a wonderful way for you to "meet" the Part and learn how it shows up in your life, when it came into being, and how it works in its mission to support you. By opening up and listening to the Part's intentions and perspectives, you raise your awareness of these hidden drivers in your life and engage in the "Aware Ego" process, allowing you to step into the role of "conductor" of the parts.
